Has a high audience appeal and popularity
Must be one of the artistes with the highest nominations in the year under review
- GOSPEL COLLABORATION OF THE YEAR
The Best Collaboration of the year is the song adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the song released through the collaboration/featuring of two or more Artistes. The song must have been released and generated the most excitement during the year under review.
- NEW GOSPEL ARTISTE OF THE YEAR
The New Artiste of the Year is the Artiste(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the most promising and talented emerging artiste (s). The award goes to a relatively new artiste(s) who released a single/album that establishes the public identity of the artiste.
- GOSPEL FEMALE ARTISTE OF THE YEAR
The Gospel Female Artiste(s) of the Year is the Artiste adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the Female Artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity in the Gospel genre. The female Artiste(s) must have released a hit single/album during the year under review.
- GOSPEL MALE ARTISTE OF THE YEAR
The Gospel male Artiste(s) of the Year is the Artiste adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the male Artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity in the Gospel genre. The male Artiste(s) must have released a hit single/album during the year under review.
- GOSPEL SONG OF THE YEAR
The Gospel Song of the Year is the song adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the most popular Gospel Song released in the year under review. The song must have generated the most excitement during the year.
- AFRICAN GOSPEL ARTIST OF THE YEAR
The African Artiste(s) of the Year is the Artiste(s) (non-Ghanaian) adjudged solely by the Board as the act whose music crossed borders and made the most impact on the continent at large during the year under review.
- INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL ARTIST OF THE YEAR
The International Artiste(s) of the Year is the Artiste(s) (Any country outside Africa) adjudged solely by the Board as the act whose music crossed borders and made the most impact on the continent and most of the world at large during the year under review.
- ADVENTIST VIBRANT ARTIST OF THE YEAR
Adventist Vibrant Artiste(s) of the Year is the SDA Artiste(s) adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the artiste who released a hit single/album during the year under review and has a high audience appeal and popularity
- GOSPEL RADIO/ TV SHOW OF THE YEAR
Gospel Radio/ Tv Show of the year. Is a Gospel show on TV/Radio that has contributed/ promoted gospel music and also has high public audience. The award goes to the presenter of the show.
- CHURCH CHOIR THE YEAR
The church choir of the year is adjudged by the Academy / Board and Public as the choir either in the church or outside the church with the best vocal delivery/Performance on any musical presentation and has performed on various platforms during the year under review. Videos/audios of such programs should be presented
- GOSPEL CHORAL GROUP OF THE YEAR
The Best Choral Group of the Year is the choral group adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the choral group with the highest audience appeal and popularity. They must comprise of a body of singers who sing together and must have released a hit single/album during the year under review
- URBAN GOSPEL ARTISTE OF THE YEAR
The Urban Gospel song of the Year is the song adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the most popular Urban Gospel song released in the year under review. The song must have generated the most excitement during the year. The song must have more contemporary elements of R&B, HipHop and may incorporate production elements found in urban pop, urban Euro-pop, urban rock, and urban alternative

GOSPEL TRADITIONAL SONG OF YEAR is the song adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the most popular gospel song with traditional feel released in the year under review. The song must have generated the most excitement during the year.

The praise song of the Year is the song adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the most popular praise song released in the year under review. The song must have generated the most excitement during the year. The lyrics of the song must have the feeling or expression of one’s gratitude and respect towards a God
- WORSHIP SONG OF THE YEAR
The Worship song of the Year is the song adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the most popular worship song released in the year under review. The song must have generated the most excitement during the year. The lyrics of the song must have the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for God.
- HYBRID SONG OF THE YEAR
The Hybrid song of the Year is the song adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the most popular Gospel inclined song by a non-Gospel Artist released in the year under review.
